About TRENS

TRENS Solar City Train is a Dutch innovation to replace heavy trucks and delivery vans in our city centers. It is a fully electric "city train" with a powerful locomotive that pulls several carriages. Food, drinks, goods, construction equipment or people… TRENS can transport it all safely and emission-free! With two or three carriagesTRENS can reach the narrowest streets and load/unload very quickly without blocking the road. TRENS has a range up to 200 km + extra ‘solar range’ of 8 km per sun hour.

Innovations need ambitious game changers. Sligro Food Group is a launching customer and uses the first TRENS in the ancient city of 's-Hertogenbosch, an ideal launching city with its many narrow streets. Sligro uses TRENS to transport cooled food and drinks to shops, bars and restaurants. The unique TRENS combines the maneuverability of a delivery van with the volume of a large (e-)truck. Bloomit foresees a large market for TRENS as an innovative solution for emission-free city distribution.
