About PHATFOUR
PHATFOUR is a Dutch scale-up that has been designing and producing sturdy, handmade 'fatbikes' since 2019. Fatbikes are a new phenomenon within the e-bike category: robust e-bikes with 4 inch fat tires that combine comfort, stability and flexibility with a 'fat' look. The rise of fat bikes fits in with the urban bicycle transition in which fossil vehicles are increasingly being replaced by cycle alternatives. The PHATFOUR is, among others, a sustainable alternative to fossil scooters and mopeds.
Since its launch, PHATFOUR has tripled bicycle sales annually. The ambition is to scale up to 50,000 e-bikes in Europe within 5 years. Currently, PHATFOUR is the only fatbike that is completely Dutch in design, production and even most parts (such as the steel frames). In this way, the founders stay close to their product and customers to optimize quality in all respects. With a wide range of accessories - from luggage racks and surfboard holder to a sidecar for children, dogs or gear, the PHATFOUR is both a lifestyle city bike and a versatile 'workhorse' for everyday use.
